Course Overview
In this course, students will acquire skills and knowledge required to develop, enter and verify programs for programmable logic controller (PLC) for a system requiring discrete control functions.
It includes working safely, using control systems and control system development methods, using ladder diagrams, following written instructions, and documenting program development and testing activities.

Duration
Our flexible delivery allows students to progress at their own pace, therefore the duration will vary with experience and capabilities of different students. If doing face to face, the delivery will take 2 days.

- Theory delivery and assessments - The theory delivery and assessments can be done online or face to face.
- Practical delivery and assessessments - The practial delivery and assessments can be done online or face to face.

Our classes will take place at our Brisbane Campus at Suite 6, 28 Old Cleveland Road, Stones Corner, Brisbane, QLD.
Remote Classes in Sydney take place at 46 Edward Street, Summer Hill (subject to confirmation).

Course Outline
After completing this course, students will receive a Certificate of Attainment for unit UEEIC0013 Develop, enter and verify discrete control programs for programmable controllers and UEEIC0015 Develop, enter and verify word and analogue control programs for programmable logic controllers (subject to unit pre-requisites being met). This can be used as Credit transfer on many UEE qualifications.
